Versions

Here you can find some different versions of Atlantis rings:

The ring as close as possible to the original ring found in the Valley of the Kings. It has an inner diameter of about 23 mm, is broad 10,5 mm and rather heavy, in Silver 925 it weights about 25 g
The Carter version with an inner straight groove and two tiny holes. Same dimensions as above.
Both of the above Rings with added pyramids.
A smaller Carter version without and with pyramids. It is about 6 mm broad and weights about 10 g in Gold depending on size and alloy fineness.

The "Carter" version I make was born out of the desire to make a copy of the ring worn by Howard Carter as true to the original. I make this version of the ring in Sterling Silver with 925 fineness or 999 fine silver (as supposedly the copy Carter bore). Sterling Silver is alloyed with 7.5% copper and has the advantage of higher strength, that means higher scratch resistance.

Materials

Probably the material plays only a minor role and can be choosen according to your personal preferences. I make the rings from various metals like Silver, Gold (750 or 585, yellow, rose` or red), platinum, other metals or alloys or organic materials according to your personal preferences.

For those who prefer pyramids instead of the square fields, these are available both in the approximately 6 mm wide version and in the approximately 10.5 mm wide version.
Some calculations led me to the surprising result that the 2 high -16 times edge length of the pyramide of Cheops fits exactly (with less than 0.1 mm deviation) three times into this width. There is thus a resonance relationship to the Pyramide on the 16. Octave.

History

I will try to explain the origin of the ring and the development it has taken.
In the year 1860 Marquise D´Agrain found a ring in the tomb of a priest named Jus or Jua in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. It is made of sandstone from Aswan having a rather bright colour.
Some did call it the ring of Luxor (or Luksor) because of the place it was found in. This ring was then brought to Mr. Andre´ de Belizal, a relative of Mr D´Agrain in France. He studied the ring and made many experiments together with Mr. Léon Chaumery. They modified the ring adding the inner groove and two tiny holes. The American archaeologist Mr. Howard Carter has received a copy of this modified ring made of Silver and wore it during the excavation work on the tomb of Tutanchamon.
Allegedly, 17 of those persons involved in the excavations died within a few years of the excavations of various diseases, accidents and also by suicide.
When asked about the reason for his survival, Howard Carter said he carries a mighty amulet with him. After his death, 17 years later, it was evident from his diary records that this was the Atlantis Ring made of Silver.
It can hardly be judged whether the ring is related to the legendary Atlantis.
Obviously there are many claiming it has been made by the Atlantean people and has been brought to Egypt.
In other languages, there are names for the ring without the word Atlantis, e.g. french: Bague de Louxor, italian: anello Re and anello Karnak.

Form

The original Atlantean ring or ring of Luxor or Luksor as it was called first, aproximately has the shape of a symmetrical calotte with three columns running in the circumferential direction. The middle of these is slightly stronger than the other two. At both ends of the columns, three approximately square fields follow as an extension of the columns, and after these follows an engraved contour of a triangle on each side. One line of the triangles is extended slightly beyond the tip of the triangle.
It is made of sandstone of rather bright colour as can be seen on severall pictures.
The Carter version has two tiny bores at the tips of the two triangles which are connected with a straight groove running inside the ring and under the middle column. It is called Carter version because Mr. De Belizal gave a copy of this ring made of Silver to Howard Carter.
This was the beginning of many myths and legends.
Some people argue that originally the ring found in the Valley of the Kings had pyramids in place of the six sqare fields and they have worn out.
This hypothesis does not seem very credible to me. In this case also the columns should show heavier signs of wear.

Symbolism

There are several approaches to interpret the ring and its engraved symbols. In reference to the tree of the life of the Kabbalah, the triangles can be interpreted as the upper and the lower triangles. The three pillars are recognizable. It is interesting that the tips - that is, the positions of the kether and malkuth (or jesod, the matter of the ring could then embody malkuth) are connected by the groove running in the interior of the ring.
Thus, a balance between the counterpoles can take place unvisible from the outside, but in the interior of the ring.
This seems to be an essential aspect. There is a hidden plane where the visible polarities are connected and reconciled.
So we can look at the Atlantis-Ring as something similar to a three dimensional version of the Tai Chi (Yin-Yang) symbol.

Effects

In addition to the aforementioned protective effect, the Atlantis ring is said to promote intuition. It should also have a healing effect.
The story of Carter suggests that the ring will work better if it is not worn visible. If you want to wear the ring on the hand, of course I finish the ring in any size you want.
This is not a classic amulet, which is supposed to keep "all evil" away from us.
In my personal assessment, the ring has a primarily intuition-promoting effect.
The miracle forces, which are enthusiastically praised by many, such as protection against accidents, etc., could be a possible side effect, which occurs when the refined perception and awakening intuition lead us to clarity and inner strength and - last not least - to a corresponding behavior.
